Guide for Authors — Manuscript Preparation

Welcome to the Journal of the Deep Science and Technology Consortium (JDSTC) author guidelines. Please review this guide thoroughly to ensure your manuscript conforms to our submission standards before uploading.

1. Article Types Accepted

Systematic Review Comprehensive, critical evaluations of current state-of-the-art literature in deep science domains. 7,000–12,000 words Structured (250–350 words), 60–120 refs

Methodology / Technical Note Novel experimental techniques, algorithmic implementations, or computational pipelines. 3,500–6,000 words Structured (200–250 words), 25–40 refs

2. Manuscript Structure (IMRaD Format)

  1. Title Page: Concise title (≤ 20 words), all author names, affiliations, email addresses, and corresponding author ORCID iD.
  2. Abstract: Structured into Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions (200–300 words).
  3. Keywords: 4 to 6 specific, indexing-friendly keywords.
  4. 1. Introduction: Research gap, state of the art, and clear statement of objectives.
  5. 2. Methods & Materials: Reproducible description of experimental/computational procedures, datasets, and ethical approvals.
  6. 3. Results: Clear presentation of findings with numbered figures and tables.
  7. 4. Discussion: Interpretation of results, comparison with existing literature, and limitations.
  8. 5. Conclusion: Summary of principal insights and future research directions.
  9. Declarations: Data Availability Statement, Funding Sources, Conflict of Interest, and CRediT Authorship statement.
  10. References: APA 7th Edition style in Roman script with clickable DOI URLs.

3. Artwork and Figure Preparation

  • Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI for photographs/halftones; minimum 600–1200 DPI for vector line graphs and schematics.
  • Formats: TIFF, EPS, PNG, or vector PDF.
  • Lettering: Use consistent sans-serif fonts (Arial, Helvetica) with legible font size (≥ 8pt after reduction).

4. Pre-Submission Checklist

  • One author designated as the corresponding author with active email.
  • All references verified in Roman script with DOIs included where available.
  • Data availability statement and ethics approvals explicitly stated.
  • Double-anonymized review copy prepared (author names and affiliations removed from main text).
  • Manuscript formatted in Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX (.pdf with source).
